Exploring Emotions Through Art: Autistic Experiences and Perceptions of Stimming
CARES (Community-led Autism Research, Engagement, and Service) is inviting Autistic individuals to share their perspectives and experiences of stimming—how it feels, what it means, and how it connects to identity, emotions, and relationships through artistic expression. This study centers Autistic voices and explores stimming as a form of communication, regulation, and self-expression.
The study includes artwork submission with brief online survey and a follow-up conversation over Zoom.
Who Can Participate:
Autistic adults (18+)
Anyone with an autism diagnosis or who self-identifies as Autistic
Anyone who can complete the survey independently or with support (supporters should not complete it on someone else’s behalf)
Compensation:
$100 Honorarium for selected submissions with completed interviews
All selected and non-selected submissions will be acknowledged.
